Art Works Co Op Gallery

Art Works Co-Op Gallery’s Newest Member

Woo Hoo! I am excited to announce that I’ve been invited to be a member of the Art Works Co-Op Gallery in Grass Valley, CA. I’ve always admired their selection of artwork and it feels great to be a part of this diverse and talented group.

I’ll be installing my jewelry on July 11th – and I’m working like mad to get everything in order. I will be featuring one-of-a-kind pieces, hand fabricated from sterling silver. Much of my work features unusual gemstones and nature themes.

There are a few things I’m looking forward to with this new opportunity. First, I will have a chance to stretch my artistic wings a bit. I sometimes hold back on more elaborate designs that pop into my mind. I feel like I can indulge that part of my creativity in this environment.

Second, the other members of the gallery have aArt Works Co Op Galleryll been wonderful! I will truly enjoy being connected with other artists from our community and getting to know them individually.

Lastly, I will be working at the gallery two or three times a month. During those shifts I get to be immersed in art from a multitude of genres. Plus, I will get the chance to interact with the public and talk about art in general: be it jewelry, ceramics, painting, photography, woodworking and so on. “Earth without art is just ‘eh’,” right?

So, if you’re in the area, stop by and check us out! Saturday July 14th will be a great occasion. Art Works will be celebrating their anniversary and offering discounts that day. You can also take advantage of a fundraiser/raffle to benefit the Linda Kaneko Scholarship Fund and a chance to win a gift certificate towards anything in the gallery.

Thanks Ruth! I’ve really enjoyed being a member at Art Works. It’s definitely keeping me busy with jewelry-making! Try to come on a day I work. I’d love to see you. I post my gallery schedule at the bottom of my monthly newsletter.
