Description
Two Garnets in one necklace! Tiny faceted red Rhodolite Garnet beads are accented by groups of rust-colored Hessonite Garnet. Garnet comes in a wide range of colors (even green!) and here you see two shades. The Rhodolite is close to what you might typically see in red garnet, but it tends towards a pink-red, rather than a brown-red. Hessonite is a rusty-brown. They go together well as you can see from this pairing.
The nice thing about Rhodolite, is that you can really see the red hues of the stone. Some garnets are so dark they look almost black. This garnet is definitely red. Sterling silver beads add to the overall design, bringing attention to the Hessonite.
The faceted Rhodolite is 2.5-3mm in diameter.
The faceted Hessonite ranges from 2mm to 4mm in diameter.
The necklace is about 16.5″ long plus a 2″ extension chain.
The clasp and chain are sterling silver.
