Sew Masks for Coronavirus Pandemic

Craft in the time of Coronavirus – FREE PROJECTS!

It is March 21, 2020 and I live in California. That means I am in lockdown, shelter-in-place, stay-at-home orders. Whatever you want to call it. I’m happy to do it. Strangely, the best way to help our communities at this time is to stay away from the community so I am keeping busy with all my online activities: creating a new online shopping space, learning Zoom in hopes of creating webinar-style classes, and utilizing lots of online services.

But I do have to be sure not to spend ALL my time online, I’d rather being DOING something, if you know what I mean. Here’s a few ideas.

Need something to do? Want to keep your hands busy? Help out by sewing masks!

Probably if you are reading this you are a jewelry maker of some sort, beader, metal-worker, etc. but you might also be good at sewing!

The nation’s health care workers are in desperate need for masks as Personal Protective Equipment supplies dwindle with this health crisis. Keep them safe with your hand-made masks.

Here’s a great article about the drive for more masks:
