The new schedule is now posted online and below.
I can’t believe I’m starting to schedule in November! It’s not quite the end of summer yet, but Fall is rapidly approaching and I have indoor crafts on my minds – including the holidays. Students often request that I do the holiday classes early so they can get a head start on gifts and holiday projects. With that in mind I have scheduled my first holiday project for the season: “Santa Face Earrings“. Later in November, I also plan on offering the ever-popular “Snowflake Ornament” and a new one called “Copper Etching for Christmas”. Watch this space.
There are two new classes on the calendar this time:
“Bead Embroidery for Quilters” People are heading out of their gardens and into their craft rooms and I thought I’d share some inspirational quilting/beading techniques with this one. It’s a sampler class, just two hours, and it includes loads of images of inspirational art quilts.
“Criss-Cross Wire Weave Bangle” is another shorter-length class that I put together to show people how to do this easy & impressive wire bracelet. It incorporates good basic skills and we also learn how to make a hook-eye clasp from scratch!
As a side note: I’ll be selling my jewelry at the KVMR Celtic Festival Sept 30-Oct 1. If you go, stop by and say Hello! I love seeing familiar faces.
SOLDERING: Tree of Life Overlay Pendant
Build on what you learned in the “Intro to Soldering” class and learn to master the jeweler’s saw! By making this overlay tree pendant, you will learn the basics of sawing a pattern as well as how to “draw” with your saw.
Bead Embroidery for Quilters
NEW! Spend a couple of hours learning a variety of stitches and being inspired by the possibility of using beads in your quilting. We’ll work with a sampler to cover several different stitches, construction considerations, materials, and more. This is a great introduction to bead embroidery in quilting.
